More Apple Pics

Sooooo much fun!!!!!

You're Gonna Miss This Moment #2

Thanks Pam for this Meme...it is an awesome reminder to cherish every moment of our lives. The days go by very quickly, and if we don't stop to remember our favorite things...we may just forget them. I know I don't want to do that!!

Apple picking!!! We took the girls on Saturday and we all had so much fun. Everyone behaved (imagine that!!!) and it was a gorgeous day. We even got to go on a free hayride to a pumpkin patch.

This picture is so precious to me. I'm gonna miss those tiny little hands!
Abbie was a great apple picker. She just kind of went off by herself and would come back every once in a while with a whole armful of beautiful apples.
These are the rules of apple picking, just in case you were wondering :)
1) Don't pick them up off the ground
2) Make sure there are no holes in them
3) No mushy apples!
4) Don't leave Natalie alone by the basket (we had to throw away at least 7 apples that had teeth marks in them!!!)

Poor Abbie...

I just realized that I haven't hardly blogged about Miss Abbie at all. So here's a video from her first day of school this year............................................................

Random Pics That Are Begging to be Shared :)

Here is Adelle's latest accomplishment! I let her make her own PB & J, and she was very proud of herself! I did win the award for Mother of the Year that day :)

Ahh, don't look too closely Uncle Chris! We haven't learned the fine art of keeping our hands out of our mouths while we are cooking :)

And here is Nat's latest project....................
Ta-Da! Big girl panties!!! She is really doing very well for not even being 2 yet. But I am so not getting my hopes up!

And here's some classic pics of my beautiful (but kind of weird) girls.................

Oh yes, they are just going to love me for this someday!!!! I have no idea what they were doing with underwear on their heads, and Abbie has a plate stuck up under her glasses. But hello future boyfriends!!!!!!

The other day I heard Natalie screaming in the bedroom. When I went to investigate...this is what I found! That's a baby doll stroller she's in! And it was not the last time I found her in it. I have also recently found her stuck in a baby doll highchair. I think my older girls need some more baby dolls so they will leave their little sister alone!

Sunday School lessons and a blessing!

Today on the way home from church, the girls were telling me about what they had learned in Sunday school. Adelle said, “Adam and Eve disobeyed God by eating the special special fruit after He told them not to. That makes God sad. You know what else makes God sad?” Thinking I’m going to hear some great childlike wisdom, I eagerly said, “No Adelle, what else makes God sad?” Her reply was, “When our parents disobey us.” Okay then! I will be working on that in the future!
I got an awesome blessing after church today. Some friends of ours told me that they wanted to help out with the cost of my mission trip, and handed me a check to put towards it. God is good!!! The only stipulation is that they want to see a picture of a little African baby wearing a Red Sox hat. Be on the lookout for that pic, Mark and Melissa! I am now looking at a remaining balance that I can definitely handle on my own if nothing else comes in. Praise the Lord!!! We watched a video of the babies during church today and it really got me excited about seeing them. Only 3 more weeks!! Please be praying that I will be prepared to go. I’m hearing from a lot of people that have been there that it is a very emotionally draining trip. To be honest, I have no idea how I’m going to leave them there when I come home!

You're Gonna Miss This

Today my mom and I were driving to garage sales and my girls were in the back seat just talking away to each other. They sound so innocent, talking about little girl things. All too soon the backseat chatter will be filled with talk of boys and who did what at school. I really want to hold on to the innocence they have now. Here is a blip of what we heard...from Adelle, I think "pretend Jesus died for our sins and now we are talking on the phone". Huh??!!! But it made me laugh!

And how much longer will they be excited about clothing bought from a garage sale? I think I will really miss that!

Fun times at the Nappanee Apple Fest

Today we went downtown and watched the parade...the whole 1 1/2 hour long parade! Including 15 looonggg minutes of nothing but tractors. And we were in direct sun. But it was fun! It is so awesome to watch my kids and see how excited they get over the littlest things. Like seeing a really small horse. They were thrilled! I'll have pics when I get over to Mom and Dad's house, so I'll post them then. I brought my camera to the parade, but never got it out. That's usually how it goes. So we had a fun afternoon, and now it's naptime!!!!

Money for Kenya

In a little over 3 weeks, I leave for Kenya. I decided to have a garage sale to raise some of the funds I need for this trip. (However, the $24 I made is not going to help much :)) Anyway...a customer came and bought a $2 item with a $20 bill. As I was giving her the change, Adelle got a little upset and said, "But Mommy, why are you giving her all of our money? You need that money to get to Kenya!" What a sweetheart! (But don't let her fool ya!) If you want to check out what is happening over at the AGC Baby Center...here's a blog that my church has been keeping. http://www.nmcandthebabycenter.blogspot.com/ Please check it out! I'll leave you with a pic of my big hearted girl. Okay, apparently I can't figure this out...so the pic of Adelle is at the top of the post. Oh well!

The ramblings of a stay at home mom who has way too much time on her hands. Although my house could use a good cleaning...nah, this is more fun!!
